Lower Fees and More Open Hours
I've been told that the only thing that's constant in my office is change. While I don't completely agree, I do have to admit that I took to heart what Tony Robbins taught me at his Unlimited Power seminar more than 25 years ago. He teaches a principle called CANI. That stands for Constant And Neverending Improvement. I use that principle personally and in my practice. I recently meditated and prayed on how we could improve our office to make it more accessible to people in our community. Two things came to mind: Affordability and Convenience. To make our care more affordable for everyone, I had a 'flash sale' last month to test out a simple, low pay per visit fee that gave everyone the lowest fee in the office ($40) on each visit without having to become a member. In addition, we offered a $5 discount for anyone paying in cash making the per visit fee $35 which is roughly what I charged 30 years ago in practice. I decided to change our fees going forward to $40 with the $5 discount to $35 if paid in cash. It just feels like the right thing to do based upon the response to the flash sale that we had and it makes our fees both Simple and Affordable to everyone. Convenience is a big deal to me. I'm not the kind of guy that will wait more than 15-20 minutes for a table at the restaurant especially if I have a reservation. If we walk in off the street without a reservation and I really like the place, I may concede to waiting 30 minutes. That's the reason that I like the scheduling program we have. We schedule 10 minute appointments for everyone which assures that we stay on time even though we all know that a simple checkup can be as short as just a few minutes. Fortunately, this leaves time to get people seen that walk in without an appointment. In our office we try to be Hyper-Convenient by offering online scheduling for those that need to be seen at a specific time as well as allowing walk-in privileges for those that are willing to wait to be seen after the scheduled patients.
Gluten-Free Vegan Banana Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies
Ingredients
3 large very ripe bananas, peeled
1/2 cup creamy all-natural peanut butter
2 tablespoons agave nectar or maple syrup
2 1/2 cups gluten-free oats
3/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon or apple pie spice
3/4 cup vegan chocolate chips
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper or a Silpat baking mat and set aside.
In a large bowl, mash the ripe bananas with a fork. Stir in the peanut butter and maple syrup. Mix until smooth.
add in the oats and cinnamon or apple pie spice to the wet ingredients and stir until combined. Stir in the chocolate chips.
Drop spoonfuls of dough onto prepared baking sheet. Bake for 12-14 minutes or until cookies are set. Let cool on baking sheet and cool completely.
Note-If you don’t need the cookies to be vegan, you can use honey instead of maple syrup or agave nectar and you can use regular chocolate chips. I love these cookies eaten right out of the freezer.
Thank your Chiropractic Assistant Kim at the front desk for introducing me to this super-easy, very healthy recipe so that I could share it with you.

THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH!!!
For those of you who've written a Google review about our office, I want you to know that you have made a difference for us. Many of our new patients have come from a Google search and those reviews you gave us serve as testimonials encouraging others to try Chiropractic in our office. So I want to say THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart. Rebuilding a practice from scratch here in New Hampshire without knowing anyone when I arrived a year ago seemed like a daunting task but with your reviews and referrals, we've been able to help nearly 700 people begin their healing journey at Bright Light Chiropractic since we've opened.
And Now A Little Something Funny my father shared with me...
KIDS IN CHURCH
3-year-old Reese: 'Our Father, Who does art in heaven, Harold is His name. Amen. ' ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ A little boy was overheard praying: 'Lord, if you can't make me a better boy, don't worry about it. I'm having a real good time like I am.' ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ After the christening of his baby brother in church, Jason sobbed all the way home in the back seat of the car. His father asked him three times what was wrong. Finally, the boy replied, 'That preacher said he wanted us brought up in a Christian home, and I wanted to stay with you guys. ' ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ One particular four-year-old prayed, 'And forgive us our trash baskets as we forgive those who put trash in our baskets. ' ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ A Sunday school teacher asked her children as they were on the way to church service, 'And why is it necessary to be quiet in church? ' One bright little girl replied, 'Because people are sleeping. ' ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ A mother was preparing pancakes for her sons, Kevin 5, and Ryan 3. The boys began to argue over who would get the first pancake. Their mother saw the opportunity for a moral lesson. 'If Jesus were sitting here, He would say, 'Let my brother have the first pancake, I can wait. ' Kevin turned to his younger brother and said, 'Ryan, you be Jesus! ' ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ A father was at the beach with his children when the four-year-old son ran up to him, grabbed his hand, and led him to the shore where a seagull lay dead in the sand. 'Daddy, what happened to him?' the son asked. 'He died and went to Heaven,' the Dad replied. The boy thought a moment and then said, 'Did God throw him back down?' ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ A wife invited some people to dinner. At the table, she turned to their six-year-old daughter and said, 'Would you like to say the blessing? ' 'I wouldn't know what to say, ' the girl replied. 'Just say what you hear Mommy say, ' the wife answered.. The daughter bowed her head and said, 'Lord, why on earth did I invite all these people to dinner? ' ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Dear Lord God Almighty, you are the source of all healing and abundance and I humbly lift my prayers for each of my beloved patients. Grant them vibrant health, freeing them from pain and discomfort, and restoring strength and vitality to their bodies so they can function optimally. May their hearts overflow with joy, gratitude, and contentment, nurturing positive relationships and inner peace. Guide them towards abundance in all areas of their lives, blessing their endeavors with success and fulfillment. As a chiropractor, I offer my hands as instruments of healing, empowering them to reclaim their well-being so they can be Bright Lights in their homes and in our community. May this month be a catalyst for transformation, growth, and blessings. Amen.
We offer this prayer in the name of your Son, our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Amen.
