Those Darn Ticks! And... One Got Me.

I've got, as we say here in New England, a "Wicked Strong Immune System". And I attribute that to my strong faith, my weekly adjustments, my AG1, my positive attitude and my (mostly) clean, whole food diet. I'll admit that it's a balancing act.
About 5 weeks ago I was in the shower and felt something on my shin. I'm pretty blind without my contact lenses on so I thought it was just something very small and black stuck to my leg like a scab but I pulled it off and it seemed not to be anything that I could identify. When I got out of the shower, I had a flashback to when I got bitten by a tick in 2017 so I put my contacts on and searched the bathtub. Sure enough, I found the little black bugger in the strainer on top of the drain. It was a deer tick.
There wasn't any rash and it wasn't bloated from feeding so I didn't think much of it. I began to feel a little sore in my neck while on vacation in the Smoky Mountains and I felt a lot of tension when driving for hours on end but otherwise I was A-OK.
And then, last week, I had a feeling of freezing one night and a flop sweat the next night that I attributed to detoxing due to eliminating all sugar from my diet when I got back from our vacation so I could get back into shape. (MORE ON THAT IN THE NEXT SECTION) In the last few days I felt the need to take an anti-inflammatory (Boswellia Complex and Turmeric Forte by Mediherb as well as 2 Advil) before going to bed. All night and through the next day I was Totally fine and symptom free but towards the evening I felt the neck stiffness again. Then, while having dinner with my wife we remembered that stupid tick that I had in the plastic zip-lock bag in the top draw of my night table which I saved in case I needed to have it tested for a tick borne disease.
Since the 'treatment' for Lyme or Babesiosis or Ehrlichiosis or any of the other tick borne diseases is essentially the same, I've contacted my family doc for a course of antibiotics and I'm going to add in an herbal approach suggested by Mediherb as well. (Artemisinin Complex, Myrrh Forte and Viranon)
Here's why I'm sharing this with you...
TICKS and the diseases they carry are NO JOKE. I consider myself nearly bulletproof but I am not and neither are you.
I LOVE CHIROPRACTIC and it provided a strong immune system for me to fight off whatever I have, AND (I hate saying But), Chiropractic doesn't TREAT ANYTHING! Chiropractic Locates and Corrects Subluxations so that the body (including the immune system) functions optimally. PERIOD. HARD STOP. Sometimes, even us Chiropractors need a little extra help with an herb or antibiotic here or an anti-parasitic there to fight off diseases in our environment.
So, do what you can to
REPEL disease carrying insects like Ticks,
INSPECT your clothes and skin and do the same for your kids
