How To Avoid Shovel-luxations(Shovel Induced Subluxations)

As we brace for the coming snowstorm, a quick reminder that snow shoveling is one of the easiest ways to create a brand-new “shovel-luxation.” When you shovel, keep the load light, bend at your hips and knees (not your low back), keep the shovel close to your body, and avoid twisting while lifting, turn with your feet instead. Pace yourself, take breaks, and remember that cold muscles fatigue faster, which is when injuries happen. And please, do not be too proud to ask for help, trade favors with a neighbor, or hire someone if you need to. As for me, I will be safely watching the plows and the nice gentlemen clearing our apartment walkways with a hot cup of tea in hand, cheering you on from afar 😉 Stay safe, stay warm, and get checked weekly whether or not you feel “off” after your winter workout with Mother Nature.

The Weekly Care Challenge

Let me put my heart on the table. I am deeply passionate about people living fully alive, clear-minded, and resilient in their God-given design, and I truly believe weekly Chiropractic care is one of the simplest, most powerful ways to support that.

So here’s my challenge to you:come in once a week for four straight weeks and give your body an honest chance to experience what consistent care can do. If you complete those four weekly visits between now and the end of February, your 5th visit is on me.

And yes, I know this will tighten the schedule, but I believe this is so important that I will add hours if needed to make room for you. This is not about pressure, it’s about invitation. Just like my passion to share Jesus comes from love, my passion for weekly Chiropractic care comes from the same place.

Try it, experience it,

and see for yourself how powerful consistency can be.

In Health and Faith,

Dr. Jay
