Every month we like to feature another business in our area and this month we're pleased to introduce our friend Liz's Quantum Healing Center of NH. Kim and her husband Teddy go regularly to experience the Energy Enhancement System and utilize the BEMER device. I've been to the Quantum Healing Center as well and found the experience to be extremely relaxing and although I was only there for an hour, I felt like I rested the entire night. Call Liz for more information.

ROASTED CAULIFLOWER with PECAN, FETA & DATE CRUMBLE!

Here's a recipe that Kim made and has been raving about in the office! It tastes great plus they have nutritional benefits like 3g of plant protein for every 1 ounce serving. Give it a try and tell us what you think...

For the crumble:

1/2 cup raw pecans

5-6 dates

2 oz feta cheese

Handful arugula

1/2 tsp salt

1/2 tsp pepper

Zest of 1/2 lemon

For the cauliflower:

2 medium cauliflower, cut into florets

1 head garlic, top sliced off

2 tsp cumin

1 1/2 tsp dried oregano

1/2 tsp salt

1/2 tsp pepper

5 tbsp, plus more for garlic, olive or avocado oil

Instructions:

1️⃣ Preheat oven to 400. 2️⃣ Add pecans to baking sheet & bake for 4-5 minutes. Set aside. 3️⃣ Adjust the oven to 425. Add the cauliflower to a sheet pan and spread out. Add the oil, cumin, oregano, salt and pepper. Toss to combine. 4️⃣ Place a piece of aluminum foil onto the sheet pan, add the garlic head, drizzle with oil, salt and pepper and close the foil. Place it on the side of the cauliflower. Bake for 40 minutes, tossing halfway. If the garlic isn’t quite done, remove the cauliflower and place the garlic in the oven for another 5 minutes until soft. 5️⃣ While the cauliflower is roasting, make the crumble. Add the pecans and begin to chop them, then add the dates and do the same. Continue to add the feta and arugula, chopping after each ingredient is added. Add the salt, pepper and lemon zest and chop until the mixture is combined and a “crumble” is created. 6️⃣ Squeeze the garlic over the cauliflower, then add the crumble to the top.

In Search of the perfect Multi-Vitamin

I want you to know that I'm in search of the perfect Multi-Vitamin for us. I feel like I'm getting closer but I need to guinea pig myself before I make any suggestions. You can be sure that any supplement that I suggest you should take, I've tried myself or gone to continuing education to learn about. As you know, we don't sell any vitamins or supplements or herbs in the office but I do suggest you go get them occasionally. I found a company called FullScript that offered for me to set up an account with them so that you could order supplements from a wide variety of companies and have access to professional grade supplements at a 10% discount with free shipping for orders over $50 so I did just that. I was just informed by email that occasionally they'll run promotions for 20% off! You can set up your own account with them by following this link... https://us.fullscript.com/welcome/jkorsen/signup so far as the Multi-Vitamins go, I've tried AG1 and liked it but it's a little too pricey. Currently I'm trying Huel Green Powder which is half the price of AG1 and I'm mixing it with the Huel meal replacement which is packed with vitamins as well. Unfortunately, neither of these is available on FullScript. If you want to try a good Multi-Vitamin that's available with the FullScript discount, try the "Multi-Vitamin Elite" by Thorne. That will be the next one I try before making up my mind. Buying a Multi-Vitamin shouldn't be this difficult! I'm finding out that it's not as easy to find a quality supplement as I thought. I'm picky though because I want the Multi-Vitamin I finally choose to have significant amounts of all the essential vitamins, contain phytonutrients, adaptogens (herbs that help you adapt to stress), and superfoods. I'll keep you in the loop. If, in the meantime, you've found the perfect Multi-Vitamin (and it's not connected to a multi-level marketing sales structure), I'd be interested to hear about it!

OK, How about something funny to Brighten your day?

As we begin the month of August, I find myself filled with gratitude for each one of you who entrusts me with the care of your well-being. It is with a heart full of warmth and a spirit of genuine care that I reach out to offer a special prayer for your health and happiness.

May your bodies be blessed with strength and flexibility, and may any discomfort or pain you carry find solace in the hands of healing. May your spines align with grace and harmony, enabling you to move through life with ease and agility Free of Subluxations. In this month of August, may you find joy in the simple pleasures that life has to offer, and may your hearts be lifted with laughter and contentment. May any worries or stress that weigh you down be gently lifted away, leaving space for tranquility and peace. As you go about your daily lives, may you be surrounded by love and support from family and friends, and may your connections with others enrich your soul. May you find moments of stillness to appreciate the beauty of nature and the wonder of existence and may this bring you closer to God. May your minds be clear and your spirits lifted, as you embrace each new day with hope and optimism. And in times of challenges, may you find the resilience to overcome, knowing that you have the strength within you to face any adversity. I pray that August brings you an abundance of health and happiness, and that you continue to shine brightly, radiating positivity and kindness to everyone around you. In Health and Faith, Dr. Jay, Kim, Nastassja, Kaitlin and Lori
