Peace Be With You

Our Father who art in Heaven has given me several incredible gifts in my lifetime and I will forever praise His name. The gift He gave me of being able to take care of you and your family is a gift I will treasure for the rest of my life. The gift YOU gave me by putting your trust in me to care for your health by adjusting your spine humbles me and I will treasure that gift for the rest of my life.

I believe that God’s kingdom will come and His will should be done on earth as it is done in Heaven. It is for that reason that I have chosen not to receive the shot which is now mandatory in the state of Rhode Island to practice Chiropractic. As a Christian I believe that life begins at conception and ends at natural death. I also understand and believe that sin is going against God’s will. I further understand and believe from The Truth as revealed in The Holy Bible that our bodies are the Temple of God. All of the Sars-Co-2 vaccines were either made using aborted children’s cell lines or had their efficacy tested on aborted children’s cell lines. The abortion itself goes against God’s will and this is called Sin. The fact that the vaccines use and depend upon the product of that Sin and evil makes the vaccines sinful themselves. No matter how far removed you are from sin, sin is sin and I cannot allow that sin to be injected into the Temple of God without sinning myself by corrupting this temple. I believe these things taught in the Bible to be the absolute Truth because Hebrews 6:18- … “it is impossible for God to lie… “ (James 4:17 So whoever knows the right thing to do and fails to do it, for him it is sin.)

God has given us our daily bread and taken care of my family’s financial needs through caring for you, your family and our community. Even though we are not legally permitted to care for you and your family in the state of Rhode Island any more, I believe that He will still provide for us our basic needs and for that we are joyful and grateful.

I ask for your forgiveness. Please forgive me for not being able to say goodbye properly to each and every one of you. After 21 years in practice and not having accepted a new patient in nearly 3 years, I truly didn’t have any patients at the end of my practice in Rhode Island. I considered all of you friends and family, not patients. I tried to love each of you unconditionally and not having closure with a last adjustment was my fault. I was in denial and I thought the mandate would be dropped or reversed in the month between the time it was issued and when they enforced it. Please forgive me for that and know that every time I think of you, I will remember our last hug (or fist bump, Chuck) and see you as a very bright light.

I forgive those who reacted instead of responding to the last email. Most people replied to the last email with well wishes and support in what could only be described as love letters. I have saved those emails and letters and will treasure them forever. Some of you, however, replied with emails voicing your anger and outrage that I would not “just take the vaccine” and felt I was “abandoning” you. I believe that was my fault because I didn’t provide a reason that I could not take the shot as I did above in this email. Know that I understand your anger, disappointment and sadness and I am sorry for that.

I also specifically forgive the person that reported me to the Rhode Island Department of Health with a number of complaints including that I was not vaccinated, I had COVID and that I did not ‘believe in’ the vaccination. Though you chose not to come speak to me personally about your concerns and instead went directly to the Board of Health with an anonymous call which I had to hire a lawyer to defend, I totally and completely forgive you. I have been praying for you to have the kind of peace that I now have.

I pray that we are not lead into temptation to put medications of any kind, experimental or approved, into our bodies just to ‘make things OK’ or just so we can appease man at the cost of going outside the will of God. I pray we are not tempted to give up our bodily autonomy or that of our children to gain things in this world at the cost of giving up our soul. If you cannot take the shot for the same reason that I cannot, I want to encourage you through the words of God through Peter the Apostle- 1 Peter 4:12-13 (ERV) “My friends, don’t be surprised at the painful things that you are now suffering, which are testing your faith. Don’t think that something strange is happening to you. But you should be happy that you are sharing in Christ’s sufferings. You will be happy and full of joy when Christ shows his glory.”

I pray that we are all delivered from the evil in this world. Everywhere in this world we find heartache, strife, sickness, poverty, injustice and a host of other evils. The closure of my office by the government is but a small thing compared to the evil and suffering in this world. I encourage you to be strong in the Lord and in his great power. Wear the full armor of God (Ephesians 6:10-18). “Wear God’s armor so that you can fight against the devil’s clever tricks. Our fight is not against people on earth. We are fighting against the rulers and authorities and the powers of this world’s darkness. We are fighting against the spiritual powers of evil in the heavenly places.”

Let’s not forget that “For Thine is the Kingdom, and the Power, and the Glory, forever and ever” – AMEN.

The office condo, which Lori and I own will be put on the market on Wednesday, October 13th and listed with Peter Roberts of Remax. I have known Peter for the nearly 21 years that I’ve been in practice here in Rhode Island. So many of you whom I took care of over the years are realtors and I want you to know that I love each and every one of you so, in the end, I chose the person whom I knew the longest. It is my hope that the sale of the office condo will give us the funds to allow us to take some time off and look for a new home in New Hampshire.

So, even though I prefer to consider this letter not a good bye letter but an “until we see each other again” letter, this letter is really a prayer of sorts for both you and I which is why I decided to follow the format of the Lord’s Prayer. What better way to end our time together for now than with a prayer?

May God's blessing follow you all as you find new journeys to travel. May you walk safely along the pathways of your dreams. May his gentle hand guide the decisions you will make and the passions that you follow. May your hearts and lives always reflect his love and truth, And may hope be a light within you that you carry into each new day. -Amen. In Improving Health and Increasing Faith, Dr. Jay
