First, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year AND The New Office Announcement

A Christmas Message From My Heart To Yours- To My Friends and Family,

On this eve of Christmas, I'd like to share an unconventional tribute to the person whose birthday we celebrate on December 25th before I share anything else... Dietrich Bonhoeffer's story is one of a man who knelt only for Christ when the majority of the people including the National Church of Germany, the Church founded by Luther, bowed before Hitler. Bonhoeffer knew the Cost of belief in Christ. He was censored, his books banned, he was jailed for refusing to follow the mandates issued by the Nazi regime and he was eventually hung for not complying. Few people really know the cost of discipleship and the true meaning of Christmas. Dietrich Bonhoeffer was one of them. He had the following words to say in his Magnus Opus, Ethics, published posthumously in 1949: "So heaven is torn open above us humans, and the joyful message of God’s salvation in Jesus Christ rings out from heaven to earth as a cry of joy. I believe, and in believing I receive Christ; I have everything. I live before God." The Greatest Man In History: The Greatest Man in History... Jesus had no servants, yet they called Him Master. Had no degree, yet they called Him Teacher. Had no medicines, yet they called Him Healer. He had no army, yet kings feared Him. He won no military battles, yet He conquered the world. He did not live in a castle, yet they called Him Lord, He ruled no nations, yet they called Him King, committed no crime, yet they crucified Him. He was buried in a tomb, yet He lives today. I feel honored to serve such a Leader who loves us! - Lyle C. Rollings III. 2007 Isaiah 9:6-7 ERV For unto us a special child is born. God will give us a son who will be responsible for leading the people. His name will be “Wonderful Counselor, Powerful God, Father Who Lives Forever, Prince of Peace.” His power will continue to grow, and there will be peace without end. I think those passages capture the true meaning of Christmas, the meaning many of us treasure up and ponder in our hearts.

Our Last Christmas in Our Home in Rhode Island Is Bittersweet And Our Plans Going Forward: God willing, we will be moving into our new apartment in Manchester, NH on January 12th. We're looking forward to this newest chapter of our journey with great hope, joy and expectancy for we know that God is in control and that He promised and declared that He knows the plans He has for us, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give us a future and a hope. It is with that great joy that I can announce that I've agreed to work for a fine man, an entrepreneur, not a Chiropractor, who owns three Chiropractic offices called The Joint in New Hampshire. These offices are part of a much larger franchise of nearly 500 offices in the United States and have a mission to improve quality of life through routine and affordable chiropractic care. Now, that's a mission I can support whole-heartedly and I can't wait to help this office accomplish their mission for ALL the people in the Manchester area like we did together as a community in our office in Narragansett. I will be helping grow The Joint's office in Manchester, NH beginning on Saturday, January 15th (God willing). My Hours will be Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday leaving me time to do outside marketing, volunteering at Manchester Christian Church and to enjoy all that New Hampshire has to offer with family and friends the other three days of the week. I realize that it's 2 hours away but I want everyone to know that you will be welcomed there with open arms when passing through that area if you decide to stop in for your adjustment and to share an embrace. Leaving Rhode Island is certainly Bittersweet. There's no other word to describe it. It's truly bitter because I'm already missing all of you beyond what words can describe and we're leaving a place that we thought would be our 'forever home' because of unfortunate circumstances that we felt were beyond our control due to the healthcare provider mandates. It's also sweet because we will have an opportunity to serve God's children in a new church and in a new office while still staying in the Northeast close to our grown children in Boston and NYC.

OK, I always try to end with a little something to lift your spirits and put a smile on your face so this Christmas/ New Years email will be no different. I'd like to thank my father, Mark Korsen for sending me these funny pics from Florida to share with you. I hope you enjoy them...

Know that I am praying for the blessings of this season to be upon you and your family. May you be filled with PEACE not strife, HOPE not despair, UNITY not dissention or division, and may you continue to be a BRIGHT LIGHT in a world that would be dimly lit if it weren't for you.

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you, your friends and your family.

In Health and Faith,

Dr. Jay
