DC (doctor of chiropractic) is often described as doctor of cause. We Chiropractors seek to detect subluxations which cause interference in the nerve system. When subluxations are corrected LIFE flows properly along the nerve from brain to body. Are you getting to the root cause or just treating the effects with medications?
In order to keep the body in perfect balance, make sure you are getting your nerve system checked for subluxations, eating an anti-inflammatory diet, getting 6-8 hours of sleep, getting plenty of exercise and maintaining a positive mental attitude.
Why do all my patients remind me of a Twix Bar? Typically they're soft and 'chewy' on the outside and crunchy on the inside! Do you know what that 'crunchy sound' is? It's nitrogen gas escaping from the synovial fluid that lubricates the joints. Anyone can make that noise in a joint but only a Chiropractor is trained to move a vertebra in a very specific way back into alignment... and sometimes, but not always, it sounds 'crunchy' when we make the adjustment.
The best way to sleep is either on your side with a pillow under your head (arms down, not under the pillow) and one between your knees with the legs bent -OR- on your back with one pillow under your head and one under your knees. If your hand or arm is going numb, pull the pillow about 6 inches from the wall or headboard to stop the pillow from compressing the nerves and blood vessels in your neck and shoulder.
There are only 7 days in the week. SOMEDAY is not one of them. Don't let your problem or your family's problems 'fester' before you get in to have your spines checked. See you in the office.Hope you enjoyed this different approach to the newsletter and we hope to see you in the office for your regular spinal checkup this week.
